Three Amazing Experiences You Must Do in Paracas, Peru
Paracas surprised us – it truly was such a beautiful piece of Peru and we wish we spent more time there! We only spent a day and a half here, but could have easily spent more time relaxing, admiring the views, and exploring. We packed so much into our visit that we LOVED, so here we are to share three amazing experience you must do in Paracas, Peru.

1. Boat Trip To The Ballestas Islands
This is what most people visit Paracas for! This famous small group of islands found near the town of Paracas are known for its marine life – tons of bird species (including PENGUINS!!!), seals, sometimes dolphins, and so ,any beautiful sights and coastline views can be seen. This is such a picturesque and stunning tour for everyone to enjoy.

- Ballestas Islands & Paracas National Reserve Tour: This seven hour tour hits the two spots (the islands & the reserve) to give you the best views that Paracas has to offer.
- Ballestas Islands Tour: This is about 1.5-2 hour boat ride tour that takes you to the stunning Ballestas Islands to admire the scenery and spot wildlife (penguins, seals, birds, & more!).
2. Visit The National Reserve of Paracas For Stunning Views
Whilst most people visit Paracas for the Ballestas Islands, the national reserve was our favourite part. These STUNNING views are honestly unmatched – these are views you will not see everyday and are so unique. The desert coastline, ocean water, red sand, contrasted against the blue skies make for a great trip out to the reserve. The best way to see this if you have a short time is through a tour – they will take you to the main view points with the best views whilst ATV’ing through the desert on your way through.

- Paracas National Reserve Tour: Buggy or ATV through Paracas National Reserve with this tour. It takes you to the most beautiful look out spots, with stunning drives to admire in between each location. Not to be missed in Paracas in our opinion!
3. Wake Up Early For A Sunrise Kayak
This one’s for the early birds! This sunrise kayak experience is a great way to see the dramatic landscapes under different lighting, get some activity in, AND have the chance at viewing some amazing marine life. Tons of different birds (including flamingos), seals, and even dolphins can be seen on this tour it was SUCH a good start to the morning. Kayak alongside the coastline on the 1-2 hour tour whilst admiring the views.
